  Jimmy Mulla
Jimmy Mulla is an engineer by trade, but his professional career has criss-crossed between the technical field and advocacy. His current position holds him as a researcher at the Research Associates of America, in Washington, D.C. , but Mulla continues his work in a wide range advocacy programs.
During 1995-1996 in Egypt, Mulla worked as a design engineer with a consulting company, but prior to that he served as the Secretary General of Sudan Charity, a non-profit organization. He also taught math at Saint Andrews School in Cairo, Egypt during 1994.

When Mulla arrived in the United States in August of 1996, he worked as a technician with Ciena Corporation, and then switched to developmental work with Education Development Center (USAID) Sudan Radio Service as a consultant. Mulla is the President and founding member of Southern Sudanese Voice for Freedom (SSVF). SSVF was established in 1999 and incorporated in 2000 in Washington, D.C. as a nonprofit organization dedicated to peace and justice in Sudan.

As President of SSVF, Mulla has participated in a wide range of educational, public information and advocacy programs including U.S. Congressional and State Department meetings, regional seminars, and international peace forums on diverse issues, including the rights of Middle Eastern Americans and North Korean refugees. SSVF was instrumental in the passage of the U.S. Sudan Peace Act and the appointment of a U.S. Special Envoy to Sudan, which re-energized the civil war peace talks; was at the forefront of heightening awareness about Genocide in Darfur; launched an aggressive and successful divestment campaign.

Mulla was invited by the White House, to attend the naming ceremony of Senator John Danforth as special envoy to Sudan and signing ceremony of Sudan Peace Act into Law by President Bush. On April 18, 2007, he was invited to attend the speech of President Bush at the Holocaust Memorial Museum.
